Westminster Schools, Junior High School
Atlanta, GA

Website

The school includes grades six, seven, and eight with 550 boys and girls. The 100,00 square-feet of new construction was added to renovation and remodeling of the Georgia Woodruff Library building to create the Junior High School in one self-contained space. Discipline-specific classrooms, such as the six science labs, two visual arts studios, and drama room, have additional square footage and specialized equipment. Every classroom is well lit with large windows that expose students to an abundance of natural light and interesting views of the building’s numerous outdoor patios and place spaces. Students enjoy outdoor amphitheatre; a 600-seat multipurpose room; three computer labs; a student project room; a dance studio; a choral music suite; and a state-of-the-art science and art commons area. The lockers are housed in six “locker commons” areas-one for each gender and grade level.
